Ajuga bombycina , also known by its synonym, Ajuga argyrea, is native to Asia Minor and specifically central and southern Anatolia. It is most often found on rocky slopes at an altitude up to 1400m. This perennial's leaves are obovate, orbiculate, dentate, densely, long, silvery hirsute. The flowers are 12-16mm long, verticillate, and in dense inflorescence. The yellow blooms open in spring .

Cultivation is in poor, dry soil within rock crevices which provide protection against winter wet. It does prefer full sun situations. Propagation seed in spring ,division in early spring and fall; and cuttings in late summer.
